I
will reach out, now, beyond the stars,
And find my world, the place
I finally belong.
A world of brightness and of dark,
Starlight, and friendly shadows,
A world of laughter and of poetry.
It
is a place
Where loving hearts can naked stand,
And fear no killing cruelty.
The
things I am
Will be of value here, and needed:
A warm, clear voice to sing our songs;
The purity of childhood vision,
And the dreams;
The warmth of Indian summer days,
More precious yet, because we know
The frost will follow.
Beyond
the stars
I will create my beauty, and my peace.
I will touch hearts, and move
A crazy world a step or two towards
It's sanity.
Let
in the air,
And let the banked coals leap to life,
And set a dream
On fire.
